After the death of her famous opera-singing aunt, Paula is sent to study in Italy to become a great opera singer as well. While there, she falls in love with the charming Gregory Anton. The two return to London, and Paula begins to notice strange goings-on: missing pictures, strange footsteps in the night and gaslights that dim without being touched. As she fights to retain her sanity, her new husband's intentions come into question.

Gaslit by Gaslight
X D So I didn't realize until after watching the whole movie but obviously this is not Gaslight but is in fact Fanny by Gaslight which has an entirely different premise. Yet I spent the whole day thinking that was the movie Gaslight and scratching my head trying to figure out how that movie inspired the term gaslighting. Only in retrospect do I now see I was being gaslit by this movie. Ironic.

WRONG METADATA--DIFFERENT FILM!
This should be corrected. This is not the 1944 George Cukor film (which as far as I know has not fallen into the public domain).
